Frequently Asked Questions
Practice questions
Are you a concierge medical practice?
No. We believe it is important to be accessible to those that need us when they need us. Concierge practices typically stop accepting new patients once they have 300-400 patients. People beyond that are told the practice is full. We elaborate on this topic in the practice philosophy section of the website.
Are you accepting new patients?
Are you accepting new patients?
What ages do you accept?
Generally speaking we only see adults; however, we will see children under certain circumstances – see the practice philosophy section for additional details.
I have a child. Are you able to see them?
Possibly. We have a true heart for helping kids, especially those with special needs as they have their whole lives before them and the developmental clock ticks fast. Early intervention is everything. If you have a child please e-mail us and we will consider accepting them on a family-by-family basis. We elaborate on our case-by-case rationale regarding kids in the practice philosophy section.
Can I see you at your Vinings office?
The Vinings Office is my traditional medical practice. Given it is an insurance-based strictly allopathic practice I do not practice functional and integrative medicine at my Vinings office.
Are you able to by my primary care physician?
In order to make time in my clinical schedule to start the functional medicine practice and have time to see functional medicine patients I stopped taking new patients at the Vinings office in December 2023. As a condition of becoming a Three Peaks patient you will need to keep your existing primary care physician. Having good relationships with a conventional primary care physician and, as medically appropriate, specialists for their perspectives which are indeed valuable and I will want to know their thoughts and all they have done to assist you in your condition to date. Being a patient at Three Peaks Health does not substitute nor negate the need for good conventional medical care. An elaboration of this rationale is provided in the practice philosophy section.
What are your office hours?
In order to create an environment where I am able to provide undivided attention to my patients appointments are required and walk-ins are not accepted.
How do I become a patient?
If you are interested in becoming a patient please e-mail us at outreach@threepeakshealth.com
In your own words bring us up to speed on your condition, your workup to date, your working diagnosis (if you have one), your current medical status and what you envision our role being for you. This is intended to serve as an introduction / expression of interest so we can ascertain if we believe we are a good fit. Please do not submit medical records at this point (that will come later in the intake process if you are accepted as a patient).
How do I get in touch with you?
When you are accepted as a patient we will provide additional ways to communicate with us but part of our focus-oriented design centers upon highly efficient communication and filtering out non-meaningful interactions. Until that point please e-mail us and, if it appears answering your inquiry will lead to a meaningful outcome, we will be in touch.
Do you provide disability assessments and write for FMLA?
Under most cases we do not. If your condition rises to the point of disability you should have traditional medical providers and specialists engaged in your care that will provide that for you as part of their involvement in your care.
Do you treat cancer?
We do not. If you have cancer please continue working with your traditional medical oncologist. We are here to support you in other ways as you go through and beyond treatment.
I have questions that are not answered here.
Please e-mail your questions to us at outreach@threepeakshealth.com
Who is the "We" and "Us" at Three Peaks?

Billing
Do you accept insurance?
There is a time and place for insurance while you undergo your allopathic (traditional medical) workup with your existing physicians; however, once you find yourself at a place where everybody has informed you there is nothing more to be done in evaluating your condition or your treatment options are exhausted you are at the end of the insurance-covered road.
What do you charge?
We bill by the hour in half-hour increments. We have an hourly rate for adults and a discounted rate for children.
Will you bill me for my visits?
Payment in full is required at the time your appointment is scheduled. We accept credit cards only. We do not accept cash and checks.
Do you accept HSA cards?
We do. Generally speaking functional and alternative medical care is HSA-eligible. Consult with a tax professional for definitive guidance. When paying with an HSA card we will provide you with an itemized invoice which meets documentation submission requirements.
